All right, they're on our left, they're on our right, they're in front of us, they're behind us...
they can't get away this time.

Welcome, to the home page of River Cities Detachment.    We received our Charter from the Marine Corps League on November 10, 2001.    We are very proud to be a part of the Marine Corps League and our association with the United States Marine Corps is very evident to all.

Do you still feel the pride of being a marine when you hear the Marine Corps Hymn playing?   Does your chest swell with pride when you tell someone that you were in the United States Marine Corps?    Then maybe you should join us at River Cities Detachment 1090, Marine Corps League, Inc.

We meet every 4th Wednesday of the month at the VFW Post 1114,  110 N. Wabash Avenue, Evansville, IN at 7:00 pm.   The Marine Corps League, is not a part of  VFW Post 1114.  They allow us to have our Marine Corps League meetings at the post.  River Cities Detachment is currently looking for a new detachment home that we can call our own.

MISSION STATEMENT

Members of the Marine Corps League join together in camaraderie and fellowship for the purpose of preserving the traditions and promoting the interests of the United States Marine Corps. This is accomplished by banding together those who are now serving in the United States Marine Corps and those who have been honorably discharged from that service; aiding and rendering assistance to all Marines and former Marines and to their widows and orphans, and by perpetuating the history of the United States Marine Corps through fitting acts to observe the anniversaries of historical occasions of particular interest to Marines.
